Popular Nigerian singer and rapper, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known by his stage name Skales, has claimed that he wrote a lot of hit songs for his colleague, Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid, during their days at Empire Mates Entertainment, EME record label.
Speaking as a guest on‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ by skitmaker, Bae U Barbie, the
‘Jogo’ crooner revealed he co-wrote some of the songs in Wizkid’s debut album, ‘Super Star,’ including the hit track ‘Wiz Party.’
Skales, however, admitted that Wizkid also wrote songs for him, including the smash hit ‘Mukulu.’
In his words:
“Back in EME, we were a team so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote songs for Wizkid. He also wrote songs for me, too.
“He wrote ‘Mukulu’ for me and I wrote his song ‘Wiz Party.’ As I said, EME was a collective, so we did teamwork.”
