Former United States president, Donald Trump, has stated that he is “supposed to be dead” as a result of the assassination attempt on his life.
The 78-year-old Republican Party candidate escaped nearly got shot during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, ahead of the presidential elections to hold in November.
The controversial politician was hit in the ear by a lone gunman, while an innocent bystander was killed and two other people were wounded.
According to New York Post, Trump admitted he would have been killed if he did not tilt his head slightly to the right to read a chart on migration while addressing the rally.
He said:
“By luck or by God, many people are saying it’s by God I’m still here. “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead.”
