Rapper Blac Youngsta can now move forward without the burden of a long-standing legal matter after a Dallas court dismissed his case involving an incident related to a firearm this week.
The legal case originated from an arrest in 2020 and pertained to a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a felony.
According to information gathered by TMZ, it has been confirmed that the case has been formally resolved and closed.
Blac Youngsta’s lawyer, Carl A. Moore, said that his client is feeling a deep sense of relief after the resolution of the legal matter that has persisted for close to four years. Moore went on to express Youngsta’s satisfaction in bringing the matter to a close and his gratitude to the District Attorney’s Office for dismissing the charge.
The arrest of Blac Youngsta took place in October 2020 when law enforcement officers conducted a standard traffic stop. During the stop, police officers discovered a handgun concealed between Youngsta’s legs while he was a passenger in the vehicle. Despite the gravity of the charge, Youngsta remained cooperative with the officers at the scene, as evidenced by video footage that was obtained by TMZ.
In September 2019, Youngsta found himself in legal trouble when law enforcement officers alleged that he confessed to being in possession of a bag containing two semi-automatic pistols and prohibited ammunition, which were discovered in his vehicle. This incident marked Youngsta’s second gun-related arrest within a span of just two years.
Blac Youngsta opted not to participate in a pre-trial diversion program offered to him before prosecutors later chose to dismiss the case entirely. This decision enabled him to proceed without any additional legal entanglements.
